Position Description

The Associate Financial Advisor would begin their career at Pursuit Wealth Strategies as a registered client service associate. The initial focus would be learning our processes and team culture while providing superior customer service to our existing clients, support financial advisors in client meetings and managing all client administration. Over a period of 1-2 years, the associate would grow into a role of financial advisor including managing existing client relationships as well as marketing and soliciting prospective new clients.

Responsibilities as a Registered Client Service Associate Include:

  • Provide superior customer service for clients and ensure that all requests are handled in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage all client administration including requests for funds, transfers, deposits, processing insurance premiums, paperwork, understanding client statements and much more.
  • Onboard new clients and open new accounts.
  • Phone coverage support.
  • Set up client files and maintain client data in our Client Relationship Manager system.
  • Maintain our documentation system for compliance purposes.
  • Assist with miscellaneous concierge duties.
  • Prepare lead advisor for annual client reviews.

Responsibilities as Associate Financial Advisor Include:

  • Working alongside the firms lead advisors to support their clients with all aspects of their financial planning needs. This entails performing a wide range of planning, education, research and analysis duties for both existing and prospective clients.
  • Assessing a clients overall financial picture, understanding their needs and developing and executing a solid financial plan.
  • Contacting clients periodically to facilitate financial planning and portfolio reviews.
  • Growing referrals through marketing and education efforts.
  • Maintaining awareness of investment markets and latest legislative changes that may affect financial planning.
  • Helping to manage the firm’s portfolio models.
  • Managing the firms’ marketing initiatives including social media accounts.
  • Attend company sponsored events
  • Assist with company projects
  • Assist with client account administration as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Series 7 and 66 licenses required
  • Bachelor Degree is required, preferably in finance or business
  • 2-3 years of experience in a financial services firm is required
  • Candidate would be required to acquire CFP®, CIMA®, or CFA®, within 3-5 years.
  • Must have experience with financial planning software and CRM, preferably Microsoft CRM, but other platforms accepted
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Desired career path in the financial planning field
  • Experience in marketing and managing social media is preferred
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and handle changing priorities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in serving and caring for other people

Hours: Normal working hours are 8am-5pm Monday through Thursday and 8am-4pm on Friday. The company maintains a 9/80 work schedule for exempt employees which consists of eight 9-hour days, one 8-hour day, and one Friday off in a 2-week period. There are certain business circumstances such as company events, when employees may be asked to work on an off Friday.
