ADAM W. BOOR, CFP®, MBA
Partner, PWS | Financial Advisor, RJFS
I was raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Maryland in a small, blue-collar town and attended the local University, Frostburg State. There I discovered a passion for finance and graduated in the top 10% of business students as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, earning a Bachelor’s in Business Management.
Upon leaving University, I moved to Pittsburgh and began a career in banking. Through banking, I found my favorite part of my job was building relationships with clients and helping them solve their problems. This led me to financial planning, which perfectly blended my love for helping others with my passion for finance.
When my wife, Breah, was accepted into graduate school in Baltimore, I transitioned from banking to a private wealth management role with the Royal Bank of Canada. There I worked towards becoming a financial advisor and returned to school earning my MBA with a concentration in Finance from Louisiana State University Shreveport.
In 2021, I relocated to North Carolina and joined Pursuit Wealth Strategies as a financial advisor. I continued my education further and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional in 2021. Upon becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, I was promoted and blessed to become a Partner of Pursuit Wealth Strategies.
Being raised in small mountain town, you learn the value of hard work, honesty, determination, and commitment to others. I strive to bring those values to my clients every day. My goal is to build deep relationships with my clients and help guide them through their retirements.
Today, I live in Apex with my wife and our chihuahua, Taco. Outside of work I enjoy watching the Baltimore Ravens and Manchester United, playing sports, and hiking with my wife.
